Message Templates

Templates make it easy to send the same message repeatedly without retyping.

Template Types

Local Templates

Internal templates that can be used with any connection type:

1. Go to Local Templates
2. Click Create Template
3. Enter:
   • Template name
   • Message content
   • Media (optional — image, video, document)
4. Click Save

WABA Templates

Official Meta templates that need to be approved first:

1. Go to Templates
2. Click Sync from Meta to download existing templates
3. Or create a new template in the Meta Business Dashboard
4. Sync again to update the list

Using Templates

• In chat: Click the template icon > select a template > send
• In campaigns: Select a template when creating a campaign
• Via API: Use the /api/v1/send-template endpoint

WABA Notes

• WABA templates need to be approved by Meta before they can be used
• The approval process usually takes a few minutes to 24 hours
• Templates are required to initiate conversations with contacts who haven't chatted in the last 24 hours
